On cancer:

“Only red beets boost the cancer-fighting, detoxifying phase II enzymes.”
(Kirk Parkin, University of Wisconsin – Madison)

“Red beet juice is used for cancer patients in European hospitals as detoxification and infection defense.”
Benefits And Importance Of Beet Juice
(Health And Fitness, May 27th, 2007)

"The combined findings suggest that beetroot ingestion can be one of the useful means to prevent cancer."
(Cancer Letters, February 27, 1996)

“The most interesting observation is that the cancer chemopreventive effect (of betanin) was exhibited at a very low dose used in the study and thus indicating that beetroot warrants more attention for possible human applications in the control of malignancy.”
(Pharmacological Research, Feb. 2003, 47(2):141-8)

On Cardiovascular Diseases:

"Nineteen healthy volunteers received daily supplements of either 1.5, 3, or 6 grams of betain or a placebo for six weeks, in two divided doses per day. Compared with the placebo, each dose of betaine produced a significant reduction in the homocysteine concentration, averaging 12, 15, and 20% for the 1.5-, 3-, and 6-gram doses, respectively. The results of previous studies have suggested that lowering homocysteine levels by 12% (which was achieved with the 1.5-gram dose) would reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by approximately 5 to 8%. Therefore, consuming a diet high in betaine would be expected to decrease the risk of heart disease."

”A methyl donor (i.e. red beet juice) ensures that homocysteine, … is converted back to methionine. Mildly elevated levels of homocysteine have been found in patients with coronary artery and cerebrovascular disease.”
(Arteriosclerosis and Thrombosis. Vol. 14(3) March 1994)

“Studies have suggested that betaine, along with other nutrients, helps to reduce potentially toxic levels of homocysteine (Hcy), a naturally occurring amino acid that can be harmful to blood vessels thereby contributing to the development of heart disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease (reduced blood flow to the legs and feet).
(University of Maryland, Medical Center, Center for Integrative Medicine)

On Digestion:

Studies have suggested that betaine may help protect against fatty deposits in the liver, which can occur from chronic alcohol use, protein malnutrition, obesity, poorly controlled diabetes, and other causes… Betaine is also used to increase the concentration of acids in the stomach.

On Chemotherapies:

Clin Oncol (R Coll Radiol). 2004 Dec;16(8):549-60.
The contribution of cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adult malignancies.
Morgan G, Ward R, Barton M., Department of Radiation Oncology, Northern Sydney Cancer Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, NSW, Australia. gmorgan1@bigpond.net.au, PMID: 15630849

RESULTS: The overall contribution of curative and adjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adults was estimated to be 2.3% in Australia and 2.1% in the USA. CONCLUSION: As the 5-year relative survival rate for cancer in Australia is now over 60%, it is clear that cytotoxic chemotherapy only makes a minor contribution to cancer survival. To justify the continued funding and availability of drugs used in cytotoxic chemotherapy, a rigorous evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and impact on quality of life is urgently required.

Commentary BetterBeTM: If we remove from consideration the two exceptional 40%-success stories (Testis cancer and Hodgkin's disease), we come up with an average chemotherapy success of 1.7%. The most dangerous cancers together (breast, lung, prostate, and colon) show an average chemotherapy success of 1.1%. The figures did not change significantly since 2005, rendering traditional chemotherapies as statistical insignificant, at best.

United States Patent 20080138395
"Pharmaceutical Composition for the Prevention and Control of Cancer"

The patented pharmaceutical composition and the advise how to take it include a mixture of 200 mg of Betatom (identical with Betanin, E162) and 200 mg of reduced gluthatione per capsule. Our Red Beet Cure, being a whole food, does not provide for the gluthatione (a non-essential amino acid); however, all necessary micronutrients which the body needs to synthesize gluthatione are present abundantly in our product.

These facts give us our confidence in the cancer-fighting features of our products. Interestingly, the details of the apoptotic and defective tumor cells seem to support the statements in a famous fake research report (See Question 18 in FAQ).
